Network Director of Telehealth Systems, Henry County Medical Center
Rachel Matlock has worked in the mental health and healthcare field for the past 7 years. She has worked alongside severely and persistently mentally ill individuals during their transition from intensive psychiatric care to independent living. She has also served as a public health educator for the Tennessee Department of Health, collaborating with community and regional partners to improve health outcomes through resource allocation and education. She now serves as the Network Director of Telehealth Systems for a growing network in West Tennessee, pulling from those partnerships and resources built over the past few years. The GrowWell Telehealth Network will be the first of its kind in the West Tennessee area with the aim of improving access to quality care for those in the rural areas of the state.
Rachel is active in the Henry County community, serving as Board Treasurer for the Henry County Carl Perkins Center for Child Abuse Prevention, as well as Chairman of the Henry County Prevention Coalition aimed at reducing substance misuse across the county and state. She is a member of the Henry County Health Council and Healthier Henry County.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science, and a Master of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences through the University of Tennessee. She is a doctoral candidate in Social Policy at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
