Vasanthi Ratnathicam is a passionate marketer and leader with 15+ years’ experience shaping marketing strategy in the healthcare industry. Vas joined Genentech in May 2014 where she led DTC marketing strategy and implementation in support of the flu franchise. In collaboration with brand, functional and agency partners, she helped the brand achieve record levels of consumer awareness and consideration for Tamiflu. Vas has a passion for overcoming the challenges facing a brand by developing innovative marketing strategies to address them.
Prior to joining Genentech, Vas held HCP and patient marketing roles at Johnson and Johnson, both in their pharmaceutical and medical device divisions. While at Johnson and Johnson, Vas was recognized as Marketer of the Year in the Lifescan division for her role in marketing the OneTouch brand of blood glucose monitors. Prior to J&J, Vas held marketing positions at Allergan as well as other specialty pharmaceutical companies. She received her BA from Boston University and MBA from the University of Southern California.
