As Associate Director, Oncology Marketing, at Astellas Pharma US, Elisabeth (Liz) Dalton leads a team that executes XTANDIs patient and allied healthcare professional marketing and multi-channel/digital marketing across all audiences. Liz has personally led XTANDI’s patient and nurse marketing efforts since before the brand’s initial launch in 2012. Together with Astellas’ co-promote partner Medivation, she has been a consistent driver of the development and launch of all of XTANDI’s patient efforts, which approach direct-to-patient marketing and education in a channel focused manner, reflecting the unique needs of the advanced prostate cancer population.
Before joining Astellas in 2012, Liz was part of Genentech’s Interactive Marketing team, where she focused on patient and eMarketing for a number of oncology brands, including Avastin, Zelboraf, Tarceva, and Rituxan. Prior to that, she held marketing roles at Abbott and analytics and market research roles at TAP, where one of her favorite projects was developing a spend test to optimize Prevacid DTC investment.
Liz is passionate about educating and empowering patients and ensuring that patient and caregiver experiences are considered and enhanced through every brand interaction. She was recently recognized by DTC Perspectives as a 2015 Top PEPP Marketer of the Year, which recognizes marketers who drive excellent patient engagement through physician and pharmacist communications. In addition, XTANDI was a finalist for Best Consumer Print Campaign in MM&M’s 2015 Awards.
Liz graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor in Business Administration degree. She lives in Wilmette, IL with her husband, James, and three children: Aidan, Preston, and Ariel.
