Shankman Marketing and Media Resources, LLC. was founded in 2003 by Dora P. Shankman, CEO and President. Dora P. Shankman has over 32 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry specializing in strategic media planning and buying to the Health Care Professional and Patient. This includes Rx, DTC, DTP and OTC Media, Public Relations, Promotional Education, Convention Planning, Web/Paid SEO and Promotion, Multicultural and Procurement/Strategic Sourcing. Dora has expertise in all of these categories. Dora has managed over $600 million in promotional and educational budgets at any one given time for all therapeutic categories and product lines. Dora demonstrates her strength through leadership, creativity, and inexhaustible dedication.
Dora P. Shankman was responsible for the initial design and development of two successful, centralized in-house Media Operations and Management business units within Wyeth-Ayerst and Pharmacia during 1992 – 2003. Dora’s extensive negotiating skills and contacts generated over $32 million in net savings in less than three years at Pharmacia Corporation and in excess of $100 million savings at Wyeth-Ayerst Pharmaceuticals in an 8-year period.
Prior to the development of Shankman Marketing and Media Resources, LLC., Dora was the Executive Director of Global Media Management with Pharmacia/Pfizer Corporation, where she provided centralized strategic media planning, buying, AOR and negotiations for all Rx/Professional, Direct to Patient, and Direct to Consumer programs on behalf of all products for all journal and non-journal/alternative media including Television, Print, Radio, Internet, Direct Response, Outdoor, Regional, etc. She has managed over 80 brands at one given time, always maximizing effectiveness and efficiencies. Dora also was the Global Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Leader for Sales and Marketing of Pharmacia, where she would negotiate Corporate and Agency contracts and campaigns on behalf of all brands and markets.
Before Dora joined Pharmacia in 1992, she spent eight years managing the entire Media Operations business unit of Wyeth-Ayerst, after she initially established it. She was directly responsible for the development, implementation and execution of strategic professional media plans and buys, including competitive products for over 80 products across the majority of therapeutic categories. Dora was also responsible for making recommendations with over $100 million in healthcare marketing alone. This business unit became an integral part of Wyeth-Ayerst and still exists today, even after the agency was dissolved.
Dora’s extensive experience prior to Wyeth-Ayerst existed within Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, where Dora formulated and implemented media plans for over seven subsidiaries for all of the prescription and over the counter products. Dora also worked on the non-pharmaceutical business as well; with products in the Drackett household and Clairol hair care product line.
Prior to Bristol-Myers Squibb Company, Dora spent over five years in the advertising agency side of the business, where she initially established a strong foundation in advertising, media and marketing. During her agency years, she devised schedules and made numerous recommendations and negotiations for various clients both in the US and Canada.
Dora’s role in all media activities involved her direct involvement and has included Agency of Record functions, where cost verification is achieved and maximum savings is realized for all products.

Shankman has experience in U.S. and Global Media, with an expertise in Print, Broadcast, Internet, Alternative Media, CME, Projects, Supplements, Reprint negotiations, etc. She always succeeds in securing high quality for all her clients and has raised the bar when marketing her products.
