DTC Perspectives Announces the Top 25 DTC Marketers

FLORHAM PARK , N.J. (February 21, 2008) — DTC Perspectives , the leading publication for consumer marketers in the pharmaceutical industry, has named its seventh annual list of “The Top 25 DTC Marketers of the Year.”

DTC Perspectives Magazine Announces the Top 25 Direct-to-Consumer Pharmaceutical Marketers of the Year FLORHAM PARK , N.J. (February 21, 2008) — DTC Perspectives , the leading publication for consumer marketers in the pharmaceutical industry, has named its seventh annual list of “The Top 25 DTC Marketers of the Year.” The 2008 list includes marketers from pharma, biotech and device manufacturers, with Eli Lilly,GlaxoSmithKline, Sanofi-Aventis & Pfizer among the companies with multiple Top 25 selections (see complete list at the bottom). Overall, marketers representing 17 companies have been awarded the prestigious DTC Perspectives' Top 25 honor. “These elite pharmaceutical marketing professionals are this year's top contributors to the advancement of patient outcomes via direct-to-consumer (DTC) pharmaceutical education and marketing,” said DTC chairman Robert Ehrlich. This year's Top 25 members were selected after an industry-wide nomination and screening process. "PARADE is delighted to join DTC Perspectives in recognizing this year's Top 25 DTC Marketers" says PARADE President & Publisher, Randy Siegel. "These individuals play an important role in driving innovation in their field." Pharmaceutical companies, their agencies and supplier partners were invited to submit nominations. The annual Top 25 DTC Marketers of the Year was established in 2001 to provide industry
recognition or the people who handle much of the DTC work at drug companies. “Agencies
have many industry awards for their ads, but the individual drug company marketer has few
opportunities to be publicly recognized,” said Ehrlich. “It is time to recognize the faces behind
prominent direct-to-consumer campaigns, because their hard work and dedication to fostering
the industry is often not recognized. The awardees were selected from many worthy candidates.
We intentionally did not rank within the Top 25 because each contribution is uniquely significant.”
