DTC Perspectives, Inc. Announces the new DTC Hall of Fame Awards

Thursday, 05 June 2008, 10:29 AM

DTC Perspectives, Inc. is proud to introduce the first DTC Hall of Fame Awards. This new award will honor and recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to advancing the direct-to-consumer marketing field, and who have demonstrated a record of extraordinary achievement in DTC marketing.

To inaugurate the DTC Hall of Fame's first year, up to five individuals will be inducted and announced. The official Hall of Fame program and dinner event will be held in conjunction with the DTC in the Era of Consumer Choice Conference, October 29 - 30, 2008, in Livingston, N.J. The celebratory dinner will be held the evening of October 29th.

"DTC marketing has been practiced successfully for more than a decade and over this time it has grown significantly to become a very important component of the pharmaceutical industry's success," Bob Ehrlich, chairman and chief executive of DTC Perspectives, said. "Now that DTC is firmly established, we as an industry need to recognize those individuals who have shaped DTC advertising and significantly contributed to the communication of important healthcare information directly to patients. As DTC continues to evolve, we think this is an appropriate time to recognize the contributions of the pioneers of this marketing discipline."

DTC Perspectives, Inc. invites industry members to participate in this new program to recognize the leaders and trailblazers of DTC marketing by thoughtfully proposing the names and record of achievement of those candidates you feel should receive this honor. A website for nominations has been set up online (click here) and will be open until July 10th, 2008. DTC Perspectives, Inc. has assembled an elite and seasoned group of industry experts to serve on the judging council which will review the nominations and rationale and cast its vote for the new inductee(s). The rules for eligibility are available on the website.
