2009 DTC National Conference - Call for Speakers
Submit your speaker proposals for the 2009 DTC National Conference

DTC Perspectives is seeking presenters of new insights and/or innovations in consumer prescription drug marketing practices to participate at the 2009 DTC National Conference (April 15-17, in Washington, D.C.). To be considered for this unique presentation opportunity to an audience of DTC marketing leaders, please submit your proposal by close of business Friday, Nov. 21.
The DTC NATIONAL Conference (April 15-17, 2009, in Washington, D.C.) is attended by 600-plus industry professionals, and includes the DTC National Advertising Awards dinner and The Top 25 DTC Marketers luncheon. Participants represent all major pharmaceutical companies, including the key DTC decision-makers, advertising agencies, media outlets and Internet health companies. The conference is designed to address the key issues facing DTC marketers.
A few of the key topic areas of the 2009 conference are:
* Doing More with Less – In today's economic and industry climate – marked by cost-cutting, a dearth of new products, and increasing pressure from generic alternatives – marketers must demonstrate as never before the value of consumer marketing to the overall health of the brand.
* Playing the Media Mix – With new media options proliferating, what is the role of traditional television and print advertising in the marketing mix? How can marketers make the most of digital tactics? What are the regulatory implications of new media options?
* Democrat in the White House – How will the pharmaceutical industry being impacted when President-elect Barack Obama takes charge? What will happen at FDA? Are new DTC regulations likelihood and what can marketers doing to prepare?
* Creative Innovations – How can DTC marketers tap into new creative innovations, across both traditional media and new media? Which campaigns broke through the clutter in 2008-2009? Which brands are experimenting with new media for DTC and what have they learned?
